EDITOR'S REALM

Editors are the set of people who edit contributions to the konkani dictionary. They determine what a konkani word means. They are the people who keep the dictionary going along with the contributors. All contributions are moved to the main dictionary only after they have been reviewed by the editors.

If you would like to contribute to the konkani dictionary project, then please drop in a mail to savemylanguage@googlemail.com

If you as a user find any fault in any of the konkani words or their meanings kindly drop a mail to savemylanguage@googlemail.com with the details. The requests will be looked into as soon as possible.

If you are a linguist then please contribute konkani words. It would be advisable to do so in the ITRANS format. ITRANS is very simple to use and can be learned in 15 mins. Word contributions can even be made in the way of a simple text file for eg:
aava = I
megele = mine etc

Future Plans for Editors:
The site developers are presently working on an online format for the editors to work on. Where in editors can log-in online and then contribute new konkani words, edit words submitted by others and also suggest newer/finer meanings.
In the next phase, once a decent enough dictionary is set up, the site developers intend to move to other complex areas like grammar and semantics. Categorization of words into nouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives will also be taken up.
